Daddy's Girl
Callie loves her Daddy.
She saves her best open mouth all out grins for him.
She tells him all about her day too as she coos away. I think she's got him wrapped around her little finger:)

Snow and Stats
Maybe you haven't heard yet but we've gotten lots of snow this week:) Gabe loves the snow and was super excited to go out and play in it. I on the other hand was not so excited to get quite as much snow as we got. A little is great, a dusting to make it look like Christmas but this was an insane amount of snow. This was the drift we had on our front walk Wednesday morning.
Gabe didn't mind climbing over it to get to the yard:) My dear husband had a lot of shoveling to do.
The plus was Carl did get to come home from work early on Tuesday and stay home with us on Wednesday. It is always nice to have a little good quality time during the week. We had pancakes and little smokies for breakfast and just spent time together as a family. Later in the day while Carl shoveled for a LONG time Gabe went out to play. I took these pictures of him from the comfort of the living room window:) I'm sure Ty would have gone out too if it wouldn't have been his nap time, although I'm not sure he would have been able to walk in the snow!
I was hoping we would be able to get out of our driveway by Thursday morning since Callie had her 2 month doctor appointment. Fortunately the snow plow finally got to us and we were able to get out of our driveway just in time to leave. Callie's appointment went well. She is a healthy little girl and growing well.
She weighed in at 13 pounds and was 22 1/2 inches long(a little over 5 lbs more then birthweight, it all went to her chin:) . She even smiled at the doctor(although if she would have known what was about to come I doubt she would have showed him that grin:) She had 3 shots and one oral vaccine and let me tell you she was a very unhappy girl! She was pretty mad about it the rest of the day but she did sleep pretty well. Callie has been sleeping through the night inconsistantly now. She has done it 3 times off and on over the past week and half and it is soooo nice! I am hoping it becomes consistant soon:) I am still working on getting a really good smile picture of her. I was working on it today when her brothers decided to join her on the couch. I pity the boy who takes a second glance at this pretty girl, she's got two very good protectors sitting on either side of her:)

Gabe's 1st Christmas Program
Last Thursday Gabe had his first Christmas program. We had been hearing the songs for quite awhile his favorite being Hark the Herald Angels Sing so we were excited to see the the whole program. I don't think he was expecting all the people and when he came out his eyes were quite large looking at everyone. He finally spotted us sitting with Grandma and Grandpa and then the waving began. He was "that kid" and actually said quite loudly during one of the song breaks Hi Grandma! He had to leave the program once to go to the bathroom even though he had just gone before the program started(I blame it on nerves:) but otherwise besides playing with the buttons on his shirt he did quite well:) I think he was most excited about the cookies after the program. The preschoolers stayed on stage the whole time during the program which included preschool through 5th grade so considering how long he was up there I thought he did a pretty good job. He is in the center in the front row in this picture, the lighting wasn't the greatest for pictures so sorry so dark.
Here is is playing with Daddy after his big Christmas program debut.

Christmas Photo Flops Year 2
Here they are...our Christmas card photo flops year 2. The one we did get to use is not perfect but the thought of getting the kids all dressed in their outfits again and trying to get all 3 to look and smile is just not appealing so while not perfect it is our reality:) Without further adieu the flops:)

2 Months!
Callie is 2 months old today. I will probably say it every month but time has gone very quickly. I couldn't get her to smile for her chair picture even though she was flashing me all kinds of smiles just a few minutes earlier.
She has her 2 month appointment next week and I will be interested to see how much she has grown. Seriously have you ever seen such a cute double chin!
I got her Christmas present in the mail last week and it was so cute I just let her wear it now! She still has one gift to go under the tree(not that she will really know anyway)

At the Tree Farm
At the tree farm there are lots of fun things to discover and play with. Like the netter for example.
It is also lots of fun to run around in the trees and try to scare each other.
It's hard work walking around all those trees so sometimes you just have to hitch a ride on your sisters stroller.
When you're only 8 weeks old you don't get a whole lot out of visiting the tree farm:)
Picking out a tree is a tough job. Some are just too big.
Some are too little
but this one was just right.
Cutting down the tree is a tough job, you have to make sure you get all the grass out of the way
and it always helps to have someone climbing on your back supervising.
Once the tree is down it takes lots of hands to help take it back up the shed.
Shaking the tree is a dirty job
and pulling it through the netter is at least a two man task.
At the end of the day it is good to just have some fun with your brother.
