No April Foolin

Spring is here! We have been enjoying the great weather these past few days. The boys have been able to play outside and love to do so for extended periods of time. We have been to the park and Daddy took all the kids for a wagon ride to the campanile. Carl finally got our Christmas lights and wreath down as well, the boys thought it was great since they love to play on the ladder. Our daffodils and crocus are both in bloom and there is finally color outside our window again. We dyed Easter eggs the other day. Most of the dye ended up on the eggs but Ty did decide to stick his hands in a cup of purple dye so it kind of looked like he had lost circulation in this fingers for awhile. I decided to take Callie outside for an impromptu photo shoot today since the daffodils looked so pretty. She of course tried to eat them:) She has been enjoying the outside as well. She loves just hanging out in the wagon and taking in the sights.
Big Brother Gabe loves to pull her in the wagon as well.
We know there are probably a few cool days yet to come but the weather has definately been a blessing these past few weeks!

Toothy Grin- Callie Edition

Unlike her big brothers Callie did not get her two bottom teeth at 3 1/2 months. They poked through closer to 5 months and unlike her middle brother's toothy grin post, I actually was able to capture a good shot of her little tiny teeth. Aren't they cute?

Look Who

Is a big boy now!

Last week since it was Spring Break and we didn't have to go anywhere I decided that it was time to potty train Ty. He has shown signs he is ready for awhile now but I was dragging my feet as he is my.... challenging, push me to my limits, ornery but funny, silly, and totally adorable child...and I was just sure this was going to be a frustrating, horrible experience. Instead I was pleasantly surprised to find Ty was an eager and easy potty trainee. He loves his big boy underwear and he and Gabe loved helping me clean up the little potty from the basement. Since then he has graduated to the big potty but we still keep the little one around just in case. He has only had 2 accidents since the morning we started and those were the dirty sort, we still don't have that down very well but for now I am so excited he is understanding the "number 1" part. Gabe has been such a good help during our potty training. He is always the first one to give Ty a big hug and a good job when he goes potty in the toilet and makes a big deal about him staying dry and wearing big boy underwear. It has been a lot of fun watching them encourage each other. I'm sure there will be set backs now and again but I am proud of my little red head, this potty training thing is exhausting work:)
