Picking Strawberries

Carl has been on a pie making kick lately(not that I'm complaining at all!)  So Saturday morning we woke up and he decided to wanted to make some pies for the Memorial Day picnic we are going to Sunday night.  The local berry patch had strawberries ready to we made a family outing of picking some strawberries for the pie.  Once the kids figured out the rows we were supposed to stay in they had fun seeking out the biggest, reddest strawberries.

We ended up with a load of great berries(just a few not so red ones ended up in the basket!)

Last Day of School

The boys had their last day of school this past Friday.  I had mixed emotions about the whole thing.  Somehow saying you have a 1st grader sounds so much older then saying a Kindergartner:)  Ty will be doing Early Kindergarten next year.  He will be at the same school he was at for preschool just in the EK program instead of the preschool program.  We did this with Gabe and it was wonderful!  Here is our now 1st grader on his last day of school.
and here is our now Early Kindergartner on his last day of preschool.
Both the boys were blessed to have excellent teachers this year as well.  Here is Ty with his teacher(whom he loves and actually cried when we got in the van after school when he figured out it was his last day) Ms. Alicia(they had the red head connection going for them:)
Gabe's teacher was Miss Larson.  He loved her and has already been talking about missing school and his friends!
and never wanting to be left out of anything our daughter who may miss having Mommy all to herself now that her brothers will be home for summer!

More Sprinkler and Sun Fun

Callie got in on the sprinkler action the other day.  She loved it as much as her brothers!  When they were done they decided to lay out their towels on the driveway and dry off a bit.
Our bathing beauty
and our sun bathing red head.
and not quite sure what Gabe was doing here but he wanted me to take his picture.

and like most things the interest in sun bathing was quickly lost and the boys decided to try out bull fighting with the towels. (Ty didn't quite get that he was supposed to stand to the side of the towel while the bull(Gabe) ran through)
and of course bull fighting didn't last too long and we just went straight into regular old boxing("in slow motion mom, so no one gets hurt")
Gabe and Ty both had their last days of school this past Friday.  I will post pictures soon.  Hard to believe the school year is over.  We have a busy summer ahead!

Saturday Sprinkler

Yesterday it was pretty humid and the boys really wanted to run through the sprinkler.  Apparently the sprinkler we used to have ended up in the garbage at some cleaning out the garage point last year so we decided we better get a new one.  The boys and I loaded into the van and left Callie napping and Daddy mowing the lawn to go get a new sprinkler.  Carl wanted one that he could use to water our grass coming up too so we got the oscillating rainbow type sprinkler.  The boys were way excited to try it out.  Since we had just gotten the little pool out the other day the swimsuits were still wet(and in Callie's room who was sleeping) so they just went through with their shorts on.  I think they had fun!

Baby #4 at 31 Weeks

About 2 weeks ago we had another ultrasound to check on babies growth and make sure the placenta was ok and in the right spot, etc.  It always amazes me how much bigger they are in the 30 week range as opposed to the 19 to 20 week range.   Baby looked great and was estimated to weight in around 3 lbs. 8 oz. about average for my due date so she thought that we will have another baby in the 7 pound range(I'm good with that:)  She also switched it over to 3D for a little bit to try and get us a good up close shot of the babies face.  The baby much like Callie was not really into this idea and kept trying to hide it's face so we never did get a clear front shot.  It did let us peek at it enough to see the side of its face.  It is so cool to see on the screen.  You can see actual features and really get a good glimpse of the baby.  The picture didn't turn out the greatest since baby was trying to hide its face but I can see its cheeks, eyes and nose in the picture below...it took my mom while to see them when I showed her so you may or may not be able to make it out but you can try:)
From the images we saw on screen and from previous ultrasounds we've had I think this baby is going to look more like Ty then Gabe and Callie but we shall see!  Here is just the standard profile picture from our ultrasound.

I am almost 33 weeks and just 52 short days away now.  We are so excited to meet baby #4 who still has us guessing about what it is:)  Somedays I feel pretty confident it's a boy and then other days I feel like I 'm wrong and it's a girl so we are excited to find out.  Its heartrate remains in the 140's range which is funny because Callie was always in the 160's and both boys were always in the 120's maybe very rarely in the 130's.  Guess it doesn't want to give anything away!  I start going to the doctor weekly this week.  It's going to go by quickly I think!
